How versions work
One numbered version a year, with fixes in between. You always know what you are running and what changes when you move.

Every version is supported for 24 months from release, so you are never forced to move on someone else’s timetable.
How an upgrade actually runs
Nobody upgrades a live system on a Friday and hopes. Your data is copied, upgraded, tested and only then switched over.
We copy, we do not touch
Your live system keeps running. We take a copy of your data and upgrade the copy.
You test the copy
You open the upgraded copy at your own address and check the things that matter to you before anything changes.
We agree a date
Usually an evening or a weekend. You know exactly when, and exactly how long.
We switch, and we can switch back
The old version is kept for 30 days. If anything is wrong, we go back the same night.
Your customisations come with you
The fields, forms, reports and approval routes built for you are part of the upgrade, not a casualty of it. That is the difference between an upgrade service and being told to start again.
Where it runs, and who looks after it
Most customers let us host. Some must keep everything in their own building. Both are fine.
Hosted by us
Your own private space on managed infrastructure. Daily encrypted backups, monitoring, security patching and the upgrade service, all included in one yearly figure.
On your own server
Some hospitals, banks and government bodies must keep data in the building. We install on your hardware and support it there, with the same upgrade path.
Moving between the two
Start hosted and move in-house later, or the reverse. Your data is yours and comes with you in a standard format, at no charge.
